Dangerous holiday locations and holiday compensation claims
Visiting dangerous holiday locations is surprisingly popular, thanks to
the rising numbers of youthful backpackers who want a little danger, and
some stories to boast of, on their return. For those adventurous souls
keen to put themselves in locations with the potential for danger these
are some of the destinations which combine attraction with risk.
Columbia
No one will be surprised to see this one on the list! Columbia's drug
cartels and the wars between them have become infamous around the world
indeed the country is practically synonymous with drugs in the minds
of many. Indeed the average news report in the country details an
average of 87 murders, 204 assaults and a couple of bank robberies.
However Columbia is also home to astonishing coastlines which make it an
ideal holiday destination for either surfers or those who want to lie on
the beach as long as they are comfortable with the violent crime rate!
Papua New Guinea
There is no questioning the beauty of Papa New Guinea or what it has to
offer visitors from all over the world. However the fact that it also
boasts murder rates that are amongst the highest anywhere in the world,
alongside a preponderance of other violent crimes such as armed
robberies and car jackings, means that only the hardy adventurers among
us are likely to see that beauty any time soon.
Zimbabwe
Again this is a country of enormous beauty, but also one which has
become an extremely risky destination for travellers ever since the
deterioration of its political system under the leadership of the
notorious Robert Mugabe. The problems such as shortages of food and fuel
have led to widespread violent crime, and tourists cannot consider
themselves safe from being drawn into this.
While all of these countries have much to make them appealing as holiday
destinations, the risk that they pose makes it advisable to secure
suitable insurance protection if you are considering taking a trip to
any of them. You should also make sure you are fully aware of the fact
you can make holiday compensation
claims.
