Hurghada - the Red sea resort
Hurghada evolved from being a small fishing town on the
shores of the Red sea into a well known summer holiday
resort that attracts millions of both domestic and foreign
tourists every year. Famous for its long sandy beaches and
numerous scuba diving spots Hurghada has been the favourite
destination for water sports and beach holiday lovers.
Hurghada is located 400 kilometers south of Cairo and has
its own international airport that is only 5 km from the
city downtown. Tourists can also reach Hurghada from Cairo
or Alexandria by bus, it takes a round 8 hours from
Alexandria and 6 hours from Cairo.
